With frontage to Childers Road and Paradise Lane, the site is vacant land within the Branyan Local Area Plan and Emerging Community zone.
This location has been chosen through analysis and research, offering a well-connected position between the CQUniversity precinct and Bundaberg Airport precinct. Bundaberg’s location between Brisbane (4 hours) and Rockhampton (3 hours) makes it well positioned to benefit from new sporting events, business events and tourism, and is already earmarked for major infrastructure and economic development projects.

The site has frontages to Alice, George, and Palmer Streets, with driveway access intended from Palmer Street.
This site was chosen for its well-connected and well-serviced location, with proximity to key infrastructure and transport networks, pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, as well as public bus services along Alice Street.

- Approximately 100 to 150 eco-lodges in Studio, 1-bed or 2-bed designs
- A selection of fully accessible eco- lodges
- Sustainability initiatives including rooftop solar and recycled stormwater

- Dedicated parking for every eco-lodge, and ample visitor and caravan or boat parking onsite
- Pet-friendly, including fenced off-leash area

The project is a visionary new offering for regional Queensland, delivering short- and long-term accommodation and lifestyle experiences within a sustainably designed, gated community.
Development proposals for sites in Bundaberg and Maryborough are moving through planning and approvals, following consultation with local stakeholders.
Subject to approvals, it is anticipated construction will commence in 2024, with operational status approx. 9 months from commencement.
Approximately 5 to 7 permanent jobs would be available for roles at each motelnow site, such as onsite manager and administration, maintenance, and cleaning.
Emerge is designed to support short & long-term employment and tourism in regional areas, and is an enabler to delivering major infrastructure projects, attracting sporting and business events, and tourism and visitation.
Emerge will be operated under the property management expertise of Digital Infratech with a focus on local supplier and employment opportunities.
Emerge provides a relaxed lifestyle experience and has been designed to complement existing tourism and business offerings. The community is secure and gated with access only available to approved guests via Emerge’s unique contactless access control system. As a high-quality eco-community combining technology and sustainability, Emerge brings a unique customer experience through proven, trademarked access technology developed here in Australia, which enables a 24/7, contactless self-booking and check-in service.
